September Showed a Thirty Two Percent Increase in San Antonio Home Sales Compared to 2019
According to San Antonio Board of REALTORS® November Housing Trends
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio home purchases are not slowing down, as September ended with 3,623 total sales, a 32 percent increase over September 2019 (2,744 total sales). There were 3,725 new listings in the month to accompany the 7,107 active listings in the city. Homes were on the market for an average of 53 days, just a one day increase over this time last year. In Bexar County, sales were up 26.5 percent (2,566 total sales) over September 2019 (1,986 total sales). San Antonio entered the month of October with 3,036 pending sales. The Multiple Listing Service Report, provided by the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR), reports on all areas contained within the MLS.
“The significant growth in sales, compared to last year, shows the housing sector as a possible factor to move the economy forward,” said Xavier Turpin, Realtor at 210 Realty Group. "We are hopeful to see a positive growth of sales for the remainder of the year."
Home sales year-to-date for the city now tallies up to 28,321, an 8 percent increase from 2019. There have been 34,782 new listings in San Antonio since the first of the year.

Bexar County has shown greater growth in home sales than any of the other major Texas Counties, year to date. Total Bexar County home sales of 20,640 year-to-date is an 8.2 percent increase, compared to year-over-year increases of 1.4 percent in Travis County, 1.4 percent in Harris County, and 1.2 percent in Dallas County.
